STUDENTS AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS for 2007
MESSAGE FROM GUEST OF HONOUR
Walking through the gates of Protea Secondary in 1976 was the beginning of my secondary school career, and not knowing what the future holds. One is expected to overcome and be successful going through all the trials and tribulations of life. I believe one has the choice to either stand up and fight or lie down and die. For all the present and future students, you may not have had any influence on the past but always remember you are in control of your future. Do not let your present environment overshadow your dreams and aspirations. I wish you everything of the best in your future endeavors.

Department of Mathematics & Science
Exceptional
results were produced in the various subjects comprising this
department for the year 2007. While a very high percentage pass was
recorded in Life Sciences and 100% pass in Physical Science, the
Mathematics department produced outstanding results with 40% of
learners achieving "A" symbols. This department has undertaken to
achieve the highest quality of passes for the year 2007 and and has
successfully accomplished this undertaking . we now look foward to the
challenges of 2008 and are approaching it with the greatest optimism.
